A follow up on my favorite things
Last month I talked about trying some new products and promised to follow up with the results, so here we go.
I’m happy to report that the Jones Road Beauty makeup is amazing. It is as it promises—creamy and better for “more mature” skin. I’m still adjusting to Miracle Balm and learning how to use it, but, overall, this is a great product. Miracle Balm is more of a blush and the makeup itself is a different product called What the Foundation. Both are so creamy and leave you skin feeling great!
Next, I talked about Rent the Runway. Again, I have to say, it is amazing. It’s easy to use and the clothes were great. After I wore them, I put them back in the bag they were delivered to me in, put on the return sticker and off it went. Then, I got on the Rent the Runway site, logged in, and ordered my next five pieces of clothes. They are currently sitting on the kitchen counter for me to open as I type this. For this order, I thought about the upcoming events and what I might be tempted to buy to go to them. My goal is to limit my buying, so I can finally get my closet in order!
Speaking of, I ordered some shoe organizers that really worked. Here’s the link. Amazon.com: RISETEX Shoe Slots Organizer 20 Pack- Shoe Stacker – Increase Space by 200%, 4 Levels Adjustable Double Layer Stackable Shoe Rack,Storage Shoe Organizer Holder for Closet Organization : Home & Kitchen
I did find that they worked best with my flat shoes and tennis shoes. My taller heeled shoes were harder to fit in the slot. But, overall, they made my closet look so much neater.
I’m still on the lookout for a dress for Ally’s wedding in Tuscany in July. I haven’t seen anything I like on Rent the Runway, but the dresses change all the time, so I’ll keep looking. My daughter, Ashley, ordered a beautiful pink one that she is not going to wear, so it’s a possibility. We’ll see.
I’ll keep you posted.
Hugs, Chrys
