The Struggle is Real—-So is Jesus!
When people are broken it doesn’t always show on the outside. They appear to have it all together and everyone thinks they are on top of their game. Often that is not true.
Maybe they feel alone. Forgotten. Throwing their hands up in uncertain times and wanting to give up and give in.
There are times in life when it feels like the world is crashing around us. Simply said….life is hard.
Can I share with you something?
Meltdowns are permitted. Yes, they actually are in the briar bushes of life.
Struggles are real whether it is marital, parental, financial, spiritual or medical. Sometimes it’s a struggle to put one foot in front of the other. The kind of struggle that brings bucket loads of tears and fears. We pole vault past crazy and head straight into lunatic.
We have all been there.
We don’t know what to do or who to turn to.
In uncertain times it’s often easy to forget that someone cares.
(Let’s do something a little different here.)
I am going to turn toward you.
Yes, you.
You may be looking through a computer screen, but let’s look straight at each other. (Pulling in now.)
I am saying this to YOU today, sweet friend.
“You may feel broken. Tired. Weak and worn.
Everything might seem dark.
Life might seem as if it is falling apart.
Today as you stare out the window, there may be no light in sight. Nothing you do seems right.
Your chin is down and you feel overwhelmed.
Let me remind you of these things.
You may be bent, but you are not broken.
You may feel alone, but you are not forgotten.
No, it doesn’t mean you have no faith. It doesn’t mean you don’t love Jesus. It means you are human.
We all have those days when we are overwhelmed, overloaded, over worked, and want to jump overboard.
Amazingly, God already knew what was going to happen before we did. He will quieten our frightened spirit and strengthen our trembling soul if we will just lean on his Son, Jesus.
In him it is never hopeless—but hope everlasting.
And I repeat…..Hope everlasting.
God is good even when life feels bad.
Light IS in sight. Hope IS on the horizon.
Don’t give up.
In Jesus there is help for today and hope for tomorrow. Wherever you are—He is near.
He holds YOU in the shelter of the palm of His hands.
Sometimes it takes God a long time to do something suddenly.
Today is not the day to quit. It is the day to dig those heels in and give it all you have got.
You are loved more than you can imagine and don’t you want to see what happens if you do not quit?
Isaiah 41:10 “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
