Toddlers- Lot’s of Them
Toddlers—oh, we have plenty of them—come with toddler behavior. They move like little tornadoes, and their emotions? All over the place. Anger, frustration, embarrassment—it all bubbles up in an instant. Now, imagine trying to get a room full of toddlers to unite for something as simple as a family picture. Yikes! Nearly impossible. But as they grow, their emotional outbursts should give way to maturity. Tantrums should fade, and family photos should get easier. At least, that’s how it’s supposed to work.
Yet, we all know adults who still throw toddler-sized fits.
Ephesians 4 challenges believers to a higher standard, calling us to live “worthy” of our calling. Clearly, unity was a struggle then—just as it is now, 2,000 years later.
But unity isn’t about looking or acting the same—it’s about working together peacefully for a greater purpose. The writer of Ephesians urges us to “make every effort to live in peace.” Every effort. Have you ever fallen short of that? Yeah, me too. I’ve settled for some effort when God calls for every effort.
Unity can’t thrive in a heart filled with pride, anger, or impatience. But thankfully, we serve a redeeming, grace-filled God. When we fall short, He doesn’t. He never gives up on us.
For strong families, churches, and workplaces, unity isn’t optional—it’s essential. Let’s be intentional. Let’s choose peace.
Wishing you a wonderful week.
Hugs, Chrys
