Spring Colors to Make You POP

I am over the top excited about the colors for spring! Why? You ask. Well, I’ll tell you. In my research I have discovered one of my favorite colors is IN IN IN this year. That color is called Warm Sand. Now, from what I can tell, it’s akin to and could be a new name for tan, beige, or khaki color. Being a blonde, this is like telling me that Warm Sand is the new black!! I’m pumped! I wear this color all the time because it works so well with my skin tone, but have always worried that it was boring with a capital B. Mind you, I never thought it was boring. I thought others did. Now, it’s on a list of go-to colors for spring! GO TAN AND BIEGE! YOU’RE ROCKING IT! See this gorgeous look from Zara that I actually did buy. It’s on sale for $17.99. Here’s the link. Be sure you order it a size up. It runs small.

Another color on the spring color wheel is—drum roll please—Marine Blue. From what I can tell, it looks like a soft navy. I love it! In fact, it’s the color we chose for our Rocking It Grand sweatshirts. You can look for it this spring in jackets, pants, and dresses. It was all over the place in the fall too. In fact, I got this dress from Dillard’s for Sadie’s wedding and loved it, but changed my mind as the weather got cooler. Still, I love the color and will look for some spring pieces in it this spring.

One more color I’m excited about is Peach or Blooming Dahlia, as it is called sometimes. Again, peach is a great color for us blondes, but it can be worked into any color wheel. This dress from Target for $39.00 is perfect for all color types. For us blonds, the peachy-tan background works well and for you dark haired beauties, the black strip in it is perfect. Here’s a little mini-lesson in color palates. Dark haired people usually look best with colors that contrast, like they naturally contrast with dark hair and light skin. For blondes, they usually look best in colors that blend with their hair and skin tone. It’s a little more complicated than that, but that might help you. I’ll post later about coloring in another blog. Here’s the link:

Other colors that look like they are in this spring are Cherry Red, Kelly green and Yellow. All super fun!

That’s it for the spring outlook for 2020. Picking out colors for spring are not our highest priority and I’m one to keep the first things first, but it is fun. So, love the Lord first and then your precious family and other, then go pick out a fun spring outfit.

Hugs, Chrys
