Pray For Us

I put this post on my personal Instagram page, but I felt like it needed more time, so I’m putting it here as well. I hope it helps you as our world needs all the prayers we can send up. 

After two years of Covid, our hearts are tired, but we are eager to move on, put the whole awful virus behind us and welcome the potential “sun shining moments”.  But the celebrating, like so many things in the last few years must be postponed. Instead, our hurting hearts hurt again as war has broken out and innocent people are losing their lives. What can we do? How do we move forward?

Philippians 4:6-7 in

The Message gives us hope and instructions. “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.”

If you know Paul in the Bible, you know he wrote this letter from prison. He also endured beatings, stoning, and hunger. He was no stranger to “one thing after another” type tragedies. Yet, he never lost hope in the one who could bring peace, hope and comfort. Let’s join together in prayer for our world once again. Pray for peace, for no more wars and for the gospel to be spread.
