Peace and Goodwill
Peace and goodwill. Those two words are probably spoken more during this time of the year than any other. A year comes to an end and, as we welcome a new year, we pray that is a year of peace.
But peace comes with a heavy price tag. For peace to happen, someone must be willing to give up or give in to the wants, wishes, or desires of someone else. Sadly, wars start, divorces happen, siblings battle, and friendships are lost when the parties involved can’t agree or disagree in peace.
We can’t control the whole world, but we do hold the power our own homes. Peace can start us teaching our children, by words and actions, what it looks like to live in an atmosphere that is calm and secure. That’s not to say there won’t be disagreements; it just means those disagreements will be resolved with love and respect for each other. Creating an atmosphere that is calm and respectful gives children the best opportunity to grow and develop in every way.
Have a great week! Hugs, Chrys
