Learning to Walk
With grandkids, we are, once again, witness to the “learning to walk” process. I love the stage that requires a child to hold their parent’s hand. Think about it. It’s the only time in your child’s life when he/she is dependent on you for their every step. Their ability to walk is dependent on your ability to hold their hand.
Oh, how God must love that stage too. When we walk with Him, holding His hand, totally dependent and hanging on tight. With His firm, but loving, grip, we can stand upright, going only where He leads and confident of our destination.
My good friend, Shellie, says in her book, Seizing the Good Life, that humans often get it backwards. We think we have to figure it all out before we walk with Him. Not true. Jesus invites us to walk with Him when we can barely walk. In fact, that is when He’s at His best.
If you haven’t gotten a copy of Shellie’s new book yet, today is a good day. She’s done such a beautiful job of bringing scripture to life. Thank you, Shellie, for your heart for bible study.
Have a great week walking with the Lord. Hugs, 2 mama
