Jeans! What’s a Girl (Woman) to Do?

Straight Leg. Wide Leg. Skinny. Boot Cut. Flare. High rise. Low rise.

It’s so confusing and so much! Anyone else feeling the “denim dilemma” we’re all facing today. 

About the only thing we can hang our hat on is jeans will never go out of style. Having said that, the way we wear them does go out of style. I almost swore (but I don’t swear) that I would NEVER be caught dead in another pair of the high-rise mom-jean type of style, yet here I am, actually as I write this, in a pair of high-rise, mom jeans. So much for NEVER being a word I should EVER used when talking about fashion. I have eaten my words on more than one occasion. 

Here’s the “skinny” on jeans for 2024. If you want to look up to date in the jeans department, wide-leg jeans are holding strong. As with all fashion, just because wide-leg jeans are making a reappearance, doesn’t mean they will look just like the wide leg jeans of the 1970’s. That would be way too easy. Nope. This time around, the look is more minimalist on the top and shoes are required. We’re not talking about the sloppy t-shirt, wide-leg jeans, and bare feet of the 70’s. It’s more tailored and cleaner. (My mom would have loved it!) See the pic I’ve included for the new version of a wide leg look. 

 

One more thing, just so you don’t get bored with your denim. The bedazzled look is coming back as well as the low rise look.
