We recently saw the movie, Here. The concept is so intriguing and, because of modern technology, beautifully done. The story follows the events of a single spot of land and the people who lived on that spot, over a 200 year span. It was a vivid reminder that our temporary is not, and, will not be, our future and, definitely is not, our eternal.

It’s so easy to get caught up in our present condition, especially if it’s unpleasant, thinking it will never change. But, it will. That’s the nature of life. Even if it’s small increments, things will change. Seeing a thing in the moment doesn’t lend itself to seeing small changes, but if you step away for a while and come back, the changes are glaring. Huge. Hard to believe.

If you’re living in a tough spot in time right now, take heart, this is not your future or your forever. God has something better for you.
