Fashion for the Isolation? Yes, of course!

A fashion blog for this week could seem frivolous, if not, downright unnecessary, but wait a minute! Hold the phone!!! We still have to wear clothes, right? Or has everyone gone to wearing nothing in this self-isolation? I don’t think so!! So I thought I would share with you my favorite hanging-around-the-house-clothes.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not opposed to wearing a good pair of sweats and a comfy t-shirt every day of isolation, so if that’s you, go for it. I love it too. Here are my favorites right now. This is from Dillard’s and the brand is Free People under their Fp Movement line. It’s a little lighter weight than the joggers or sweats I wore through the winter, so they are perfect for spring and summer. And they are super soft. Always a plus. The price is $88.00, but, if you wear them as much as I do, it will be worth it. Here’s the link. While you’re at the Free people site, you’ll see many great choices for leggings and sports bras too, if that’s your thing. But, I have another source I love for those as well.

When you get ready to get out of your sweats or joggers, pull on a pair of leggings. (In full disclosure, I did wear the same sweat pants and sweat shirt for the first three days of the isolation. Don’t judge.) I have found that if I dress like I’m going to exercise or, at least walk, I just might actually do it.

This is my go-to favorite legging right now. They are long enough for my long legs, have a high waist to cinch it all in, have a zippered opening for my phone (how cool is that!) and are super soft and comfy. They have a ton of colors and come in plus sizes. Literally, something for everyone. And, the good news is they always have good sales going on. Here is the link. Right now they have something like 2 for $24.00, which is a pretty good deal. I won’t quote a price because it’s always changing.

Well, that’s my fashion advice for self-isolation weeks. Just enjoy this time off to kick back a little and not feel pressured to dress up or put on make-up, but do what makes you feel good. I still have to put on some mascara and lip gloss. I’m always said if I get stranded on a dessert Island, I want mascara and lip gloss, but no pressure, you be you! Face this isolation with confidence!

Hugs, Chrys
