Comfy Clothes are Still A Thing

I had the honor of partnering with Carly Jean Los Angeles recently for a give back weekend. You might remember Louisiana suffered an abundance of hurricanes this year, so our family partnered with the Carly Jean family (from the other LA) to raise money to help some folks who were impacted badly by the hurricane. Wow! That was a long sentence!!

Here’s how a partnership such as this one works. A company (like Carly Jean) approaches a person with a decent following on social media (like us) and offers to donate a certain amount of their sales (in this case 10%) over a certain amount of time (in this case, Black Friday to Giving Tuesday) in exchange for us posting about the sale so all of our friends can be involved. It’s really a win-win! Carly Jean picks up some new customers and some people who need help are able to get it.

I’m not sure how much we raised yet, but I heard $30,000.00 at one point. So it went really well! Awesome! Carly Jean and her team really are the nicest people and their clothes are so perfect for this semi-lockdown we still find ourselves in. They are comfy, but classy, so they go from inside to outside easily.

I thought I would show you a few of my favorite pieces today, in case you didn’t catch my posts about the sale. And, explain why I love them. Plus, you get to see what’s current out there in the fashion world.

One of my most favorite sweaters is this gray crew neck. Here’s the reason I love it. The small has long enough sleeves for my monkey arms, but still fits my body. Seriously, my arms are ridiculously long and it’s rare that I find a sweater with long sleeves that goes all the way to my wrist. Often I just push them up and call it a day. Plus, it is buttery soft so I can stay in it all day with no itching or scratching. Sweaters are always “in” When the weather cools off, then it’s “sweater weather” for everyone. I’m sure I will get plenty of wear out of this one.

Another piece I love is this black jacket. Louisiana winters only require a big coat about three weeks out of the year. The rest of the time we can wear a lightweight jacket and be toasty warm.  In fact, there someThis is the jacket I will wear the most this year. It’s the perfect weight for some warmth, but I won’t be trying to rip if off once I’m in the grocery store.

One more piece I have to show you is this little black dress. Now this one doesn’t have sleeves long enough for me, but the pockets make up for the pushed up sleeves. It’s lightweight so it can go into spring easily or I can put a sweater over it and wear it like it’s a skirt on the colder days.

Well, that’s it. This isn’t an ad for this company; it’s just showing you some latest clothing choices. But, I do love this company and think you will too.

Hugs, Chrys
